Putnam County Historical Society

Tree of Memories

The Holiday Season is a time when we pause to celebrate life and family, and honor our friends and loved ones. In keeping with this spirit, the Putnam County Historical Society is presenting a very special opportunity to remember that special person while supporting the maintenance of the Historical Museum and the Little Red Schoolhouse in the Unionville City Park.

The Tree of Memories will be displayed in the Museum in Unionville during the month of December, and the official Lighting Ceremony will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 5:00 pm. With your support, it will glow brilliantly throughout the holidays.

There are three ways to give:

A Shining Light: For a $5.00 minimum donation, a Light is dedicated in Memory or Honor of your loved one.

A Personalized Keepsake Ornament: For a $20.00 minimum donation, A Personalized Keepsake Ornament will be placed on the Tree. Order deadline for Personalized Ornament is November 29, 2015.

A Tree of Memories Sponsorship: For $100.00 minimum donation, your name will be inscribed on a plaque at the museum, plus you will receive a Personalized Keepsake Ornament. Order deadline for Personalized Ornament is November 29, 2015.

All proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit the ongoing cost of maintaining the Historical Museum building and the Little Red Schoolhouse. Your Personalized Keepsake Ornament will be mailed to you during January 2016 if not picked up at the Museum.

They have been scanned, digitized, and organized in a database. Every newspaper in the database is fully searchable by keyword and date, making it easy to quickly explore historical content.
